There only negative about this bulb it's it's energy rating.
It's handy to control your bulb from your phone. Making sure lights are on when you come home is a bonus. Also switching lights off without being present, is a feature I love.
Smart bulbs are the way forward, if only it was more economical to run on the electric.
There's a wide variety of colours this lamp can be set to and the brightness is controlled by yourself.
Alexa found the bulb easily to sync in with the itself.
Easy to install & use, minimal steps required for set up.

Brightness good - app fairly well supported in android and apple.
Instructions are good in English. BUT.
App looks good but very flaky
I have setup on and off times.
the morning schedule works fine but the afternoon does not work at all.
So i delete the afternoon and set at totally new time to test a turn on of the bulb.
Still not working.
But the turn off the bulb schedule in the evening is working.
On top of that - the Alexa integration is appaling.
I have added it as a skill - the bulb adds to my list of devices on Alexa.
And then immediately goes 'un-responsive' - however manually using the bulb app im able to turn and off

I wish TPlink were doing small bulbs like this as never had problems with their Alexa intergration.
If you want a cheap bulb - try a competitor - the alexa integration may be better.
Not recommended.

When purchasing this product I could not link it to Alexa via the ExtraStar/ExtraHouse app. I wouldn’t bother downloading this app at all, even on an iPhone. As has already been said, it is the SmartLife/SmartHome app you need. It is identical but will link immediately with Alexa. Very simple when I tried it this way. Also, when it says the light needs to flash to connect, ours flashed at first but slowly, the correct flash is a lot faster. Other than this the product is good quality. We prefer it in the warm white but it is easy to use the SmartHome app to find a colour that you prefer. I hope this helps. I would definitely buy this product again now I know how to set it up.
